Voices

The voices in my head screams so loud I can barely hear myself.

From the pounding sound in my ears driving me inane to the half-alive beating heart in my chest,

I stay my heavy half-opened eyes on your face and see how your eyes water with liquid love.

I feel the dark shadows hovering over me begin to fall flat in form and the burdened weight begin to ease into nothingness.

I feel the white heat of your compassion from the depth of your eyes drown the voices in my head.

My body numb and limp from the pain begin to ease into strength bursting in a million silvery stars; realising in that moment, the peace I have always wanted is in the warmth of your arms.
