Look at me, I’m a “Creative”!

They say, we learn something new everyday and I can attest to that fact from experience. Most days I can remember what the new thing is and oftentimes that little saying plays itself in my mind as I smile at the realisation. This much is true today and I thought I would write about what I have learned today. A term out there that seems to be going around a lot through my readings on medium, being a “creative”.

Is it something new? A new trend persay? Or am I missing something? Honestly, I think it might be a new trend — there’s always one popping up every other day on the internet that much is certain. But I honestly like this term actually because I relate to it. I’ve come across it twice today in two separate posts I’ve read and both times it’s caught my attention.

But like I said before, I like it and I can honestly call myself a creative as well since I’ve actively starting writing again thanks to this medium and creatively writing stories so before this. It’s been a long time since I’ve written poems but that part of me has recently started to blink and who knows I may eventually be writing them again. They were a good outlet during my teen years.

It feels good to create something every day. Even if it’s a small post. It’s good for the soul, an expression of it coming forth into the light of the world around it. A voice that’s found a place to speak out and express itself and be heard. And like another saying that goes, being creative is not a hobby it is a way of life, I shall strive to tap into my creativity on a daily basis from hence forth.
