If You Work From Home (or Aspire to) You Must Read This

I work from home for Carousel Apps, whilst living in Spain. I absolutely love it, but the article gets some points spot on, especially regarding separating personal and work along with a lot of self-discipline.

Dane, I have one of my kids at home (a 3 month old) during the day whilst I work, but have a nanny as well. There’s no way I would find it possible to do both work and watching the kids (I have a 2 year old, too) for many reasons — what if I need to make a call and they’re being noisy? How do I explain to my 2 year old that I can’t play for the next few hours and he can’t distract me the whole time? Or, often, the baby likes to be held and I can’t do that whilst typing and staying focussed.

I do know a family who works whilst their 2 year old stays at home, but they often shut the door and leave him playing alone with toys. It’s do-able, but I suppose quite a personal choice and not really my thing :)
