Progress Report 1 (August 29, 2014)

As of today, Friday August 29th, 2014, I have completed the first draft of my pattern. I have made the flutter sleeve, front and back yoke, and front and back gathered dress pieces. I had a fitting with my model yesterday and had to adjust the shoulder seam, the armhole and add four inches on the back pattern pieces. I will make the necessary changes over Labor Day weekend. I plan to have my fashion fabric and lining cut out by Tuesday. I will sew the garment up either Tuesday or Wednesday and have a fitting Wednesday to make any changes that come up. I have uploaded pictures in a separate, document named Railroad Crossing, to give a visual of my progress.

I have also started on making the wire train track sculpture that will go around my model’s neck to tie the garment and my inspiration together.
