On Being Surrounded by Idiots

A recent conversation got me thinking about idiots and how to not be one. The problem and solution with this is that we’re all an idiot in some way. And trying not to be an idiot by pretending we’re not idiots is a sure fire way to know that you are in fact, an idiot.

“I’m surrounded by idiots. Or maybe I’m the idiot.”

Or maybe it’s both. We can’t all be rocket scientists and neurophysicists. Maybe rocket science isn’t so hard (← me being an idiot), but also — maybe some rocket scientists might also be idiots in their own right.

Point is, we’re all idiots in some way or another. The important thing is that we acknowledge our idiocy and move on. You don’t know what you don’t know, except for when you do know, and choose to either remain an idiot, or learn.

Onwards and upwards.
