Wrapping Up

After 5 weeks of browsing blogs, both by individuals and hosted by groups/companies, I am seeing a lot of great uses for blogging in education, both for students and as an educator. I love having a space to reflect on my experiences and having it tailored to specific area (in this case ed tech) where I can share what I have learned, am still thinking about, and want to learn about a specific topic. I think this is a fantastic tool for student reflections, where they can get and give feedback to other students. As a professional, I found that there are lots of great places to learn more about my field and that I can be as broad or narrow in my search to locate blogs about instructional technology or specific technology tools. I intend to continue to use this blog to record my journal entries for my practicum experience this fall and into my career as a place to reflect on my K-12 teaching experiences. I even have plans to start a blog about my passion, comics and graphic novels, where I can do reviews, talk about the industry, and the educational applications of the format. Of all of internet tools reviewed for this course, this one has been a big eye opener and a quick favorite.
