I think you did a lovely job of illustrating all the insecurities and neuroses of living and working in Silicon Valley without sounding pessimistic. It felt real. And so, this last paragraph comes out of left field to me. I don’t believe the story builds up into a realization of how much of a paradise Silicon Valley is — so much so that I wondered if this paragraph was sarcastic.
