“Between all the departments involved, we’ve reached a conclusion that this guy is a very much good suspect but at this point we are just not certain about this robbery whether or not he did it. The allegations read before him are the number one prime suspect.”

Case number 23/101/2023, suspect is Johannes Flegar 43 years of age and has a wife and a five year old manor child. Mr Flegar is accused for the latest housebreaking in 121 Danville Durban Davenport on the 23rd of September where by there was a damage of property, R1500 bribe to the owner of the property and also stolen tools reads out Prosecutor Lisakhanya Khanyisa

Miss Cele of the Davenport SAPS says that, “Mr Flegar has many cases under his name from the year 2002 till 2023 and all these cases are for theft, damage to property and drug dealing. Mr Flegar says, “I plead guilty even though today as I am standing before the court I don’t know which case am I being charged for.” He further says, “As I am a self employed welder I don’t get much opportunities hence I do these housebreakings for an economic living to support my child and wife but I plead Your Honor for a lighter sentence as my son is too young to grow up without a father”

Prosecutor further tells the judge that “Your honor this suspect has been in and out of prison for one and the same thing and has further violated the section 112(1)of the constitution, so it is to the judge’s hands to now decide whether she is sentencing the suspect today or not.”

Judge Masipa then takes the judgement but not final which she stated that “As the accusations have been brought forward does the attorney representing Mr Flegar somehow object or want to add on the statement read before the court.” Further adds that, “the suspect is to remain in custody till they reach the compliant and make a sentence for the suspect so the case has been moved to the 17th of November 2023.”

Miss Zulu who is the state attorney didn’t object nor add on anything to the case but respected the judgement and agreed to avail herself for the next court day and she didn’t want to hear anything from the suspect because he was trying to bribe her to lie to the court for him to get a lighter sentence.
