Here, in this article, I am going to discuss the reasons and also the procedure to use Figma in creating Power BI reports and its benefits too.

If you are not aware of the Figma Graphic Design tool, you could read this article to know more about it. Only the basics of Figma are used to create layouts.

First of all, I am going to discuss reasons why it is good to use Figma for creating Power BI reports:

• It improves the performance of the dashboard as the external image is being loaded, so while publishing to the web its performance is better.
• It gives an analyst a better hold over the design aspects like spacing, alignment, etc.
• Better use of width and height of the visualization page.

Process of using Figma for using the layout in Power BI reports:

→ In Power BI, insert the layout made in Figma in “Visualization Pane>Canvas Background>layout_image” as shown below here:

In this way, the layout image can be inserted in Power BI.
