I decided to go to Medium instead of WordPress. Why? Read the post. WordPress is self-hosted, in most cases I like it. But WordPress is also full of unused functionality, which slows my website down. As a Webdeveloper, I know how to optimize the website, with images, stylesheets, javascript etc. I tried different things to power the website, and make it fast. But even a CDN didn’t help my loadtimes that much. However, tried a lot of things, and decided to move to Medium.
