The employees at Ventured share great enthusiasm with Blockchain and how it can change the way a community powers ideas, projects and people. We share the same passion for engineering and how it can transform the company and product to be something greater.

Our engineering team has the following principles:

1. A code review a day keeps the bugs away.
2. Don’t leave technical debt.
3. Automate things and work smart.

A code review a day keeps the bugs away

We never sacrifice code quality. By implementing javascript coding style guide and coding reviews. We strictly follow the Javascript Standard Code Style. For code reviews, we took advantage of Git/Github’s branches, comparing differences, Issues, Pull Requests, and Code reviews. We will share more about our philosophy and methods in the future’s posts.

Don’t leave technical debt

Tech debt is an issue every startup faces. In our core team, we always pursue ourselves ready to run fast and expand and implement any new function that our fans or community want.

We see every component and graphs we create and deploy as our company assets and what guarantee Ventured Network and VentureCoin will be successful.

Automate things and work smart

As a startup going to build a consumer-facing platform, we spent much time to let the computer do what it is good at. Then we can spend more time on improving user experience, designing algorithm, applying data science and building new functions. We don’t want to waste any time on those robotic and repeating works. Taking advantage of Travis-CI, we almost automized our CI/CD, testing, and deployment. Our Travis virtual machine works hard of testing all of our commits, pull-requests, then packaging and deploying to the server, without any potential human errors and inefficiency, sweet and beautiful.

A general view of our workflow.

This process makes sure our product and website are stable and allows us to deliver both seamlessly.
