Hi Jas — people don’t know what they don’t know and often get seduced by the money and the glamour. But money isn’t usually the most important thing and I’ve worked with may people who have “glamourous” jobs that they see as anything but.

I can see an article coming … but young people now are often best advised to take advantage of opportunities and see what they like and dislike. having said that, we can’t always do what we like and often need to do the boring — eg photocopying, but we can do it with good grace.

Far better to develop good transferable skills which often revolve around people skills. Getting on well with others, being a team player and being willing to say yes.
