Lots of words, seeking so called happiness.Elusive, ever out of reach, but if anyone was blessed enough to have a “happy” childhood,a childhood filled with caring parents, food on the table as much as one wants, travels, connection to nature, then I would say the rest is irrelevant.Yet I see the philosophers, writers, all trying to seduce the reader with the myth of happiness in adult life.It ain’t going to happen! As we become adults we mingle with different types of people from innumerable back grounds where perhaps their childhood was filled with pain, wants, abuse, and misery, water and oil do not mix.Forget about seeking happiness as an adult,it is not there.I have studied famous people, like Einstein, and Picasso, tragic lives.I have travelled to the depths of the Amazon rain forest small tiny villages at the edge of unknown rivers,I saw happy children but not necessarily happy adults. So go figure out.To me “happiness” is food on the table and little debt.
