When Giants Collide

. Maybe it was unbeknownst to Goliath, that his Philistine army had camped in Socoh, where they would gather to do battle with Saul and the Israelites, which is just a stones throw (pun intended) from Azekah. Azekah was the same place where YeHoVAH sent hailstones to destroy the adversaries of Joshua and the Israelites during their conquest of Canaan. (Joshua 10). Socoh means ‘brushy place’ or ‘place of thorns’…was it a natural hedge they stopped in?

. The Bible also states another geographical detail about the greater region they were in known as Ephesdammim, which means ‘Boarder of Blood’ in the tribal territory of Judah. David was about to meet Goliath in a place on earth destined for this collision, and no stranger to battle and bloodshed, and clashes at the boarder of good and evil.

. A man without conviction may call such things coincidence, but when David chose 5 stones from the brook running through the valley of Elah, with ‘an oak’ of a man rising before him, I can’t help but believe it was the same fighting Spirit in him, that remembered the 5 stones rolled over the tombs of the five defeated kings so long ago.

. Azekah means ‘the land overturned or broke open’. Azekah was a hill region, with cracks and crags in the rocks, and Makeddah just further, full of holes and caves. It was Azekah where the hailstones crushed the 5 armies untill their Kings ran for cover in the caves of Makeddah. Joshua and his men entombed the Kings in their holes of choice, with five tomb stones.

. After he chose his smooth stones, David told the oak from Gath exactly how it was to play out; he made no concessions due to the differences in natural size. There was, in the supernatural, a being of an eternally different scale standing with David that day, on the boarder of blood…

. The shepherd anointed King said “I come in the name of YeHoVAH Tsavaoat!, and on this day I’ll shut you up, strike you down, and sever your head.”

. It was Goliath’s own ‘tomb’ stone that David chose to fill the hole it was going to make in the giants head, and when he felled this tree of a man, the dead oak striking the ground sent a shockwave through the bloodlines of the Philistines all the way west to Gath. It was the thunder of the Lord in conquest, and a harbinger to greater Philistia that the Children of God we’re coming again, to conquer.

. David, the Bethlehemite shephardboy, last son of Jesse the Ephramite, smallest and least of eight brothers, filled with the Spirit of YeHoVAH of Hosts, David was the Giant that day.

Yehovah Tsavaoat= Yehovah of the Host-of Armies, of War, of Angels, of Army of Angels
