Adventures in Coding VI

Guys guys guys!!!!! I woke up this morning, after another frustrating evening with this layout project not working out, and was able to make it a bit better! After a hint about using flex: wrap; on the parent, if the flex attribute wasn’t taking, I decided to mess around with it once I woke up. I still had weird extra space on the left side of the ol area (the articles), so I tried adding an additional rule inside that parent to knock out the padding and margins. Here’s where I ended up:

look ma, no hands!!!!

As you can see, I have one feature article taking up the whole screen area, and 3 articles taking up 1/3. The area I nibbled at was adding a rule for the parent, .main, and giving that all the flex wrappy display: flex; goodness.

Well, I guess we can now safely say that the world is going to be ok.

No time to keep messing around with those social media links this morning, because I have to get ready for work. Maybe on the next pass, I’ll be able to get this all the way through without having to burn down any buildings! Wouldn’t that be lovely? :)
