My Secret Teenage Pregnancy — in Rural Indonesia
Sonia Narang

Thank you for sharing this story- it gives voice to what can be very common feelings of isolation, fear, and the impulse to ignore and avoid the reality of a pregnancy for as long as possible. Especially with a first pregnancy, there can be so much anxiety caused by the mystery of how everything will develop and certainly more when it happens under circumstances that are not what we aspire to.

I’ve come to see through your stoy that pregnancy (and imminent birth) is an excellent metaphor for truth and how it reveals itself. It can only be masked and avoided so long before all becomes known.
