I’ve had some massive train wrecks in my life recently.
The necessary kind.

The ones that come along when you ignore your gut. As I do, I wanted to touch on intuition this week in an effort to help you learn from the ‘error’ of my ways ;)

So the story goes, when we ignore our intuition we progressively create, receive or experience events that, well let us know. And these messages get incrementally more aggressive the longer we ignore it.

First the feather, then the brick then the truck. Which I go into in the video.

Majority of us are trained liked soldiers, to only honour our minds. And rightly we should. However, there stands to remain a genius we tend to swat like a meaningless fly; intuition.

Intuition: noun in·tu·i·tion \ˌin-tü-ˈi-shən, -tyü-\ — The power or faculty of attaining to direct knowledge or cognition without evident rational thought and inference: a feeling that guides a person to act a certain way without fully understanding why. ~ Merriam-Webster Dictionary

The masculine part of us stands so strong and stubborn in what we ‘know’, that intuition is often disregarded as ‘silly’. The mind seeks and is effectively addicted to rational answers’s it can analyse; something it can calculate, has evidence, predictability, statistics and is measurable. It’s performing it’s job perfectly by doing this. However, relying only on thought is as wise as waiting for a car to drive itself. You can pop that Tesla into autopilot but it can only do as much as it’s programmed to do. It has no innate opinion.

Oh, note. I am guilty of said swatting. I have been a thinking addict in the past, and even after five years of cultivating my intuition, still regress to it under times of stress. It’s not about being perfect at this, it’s about utilising it because the mind, is ever so limiting. Science shows us that we are tiny particles of energy from which we can draw information from to conceptualize the world around us through our five senses. Our minds can only calculate a minuscule amount of this.

But intuition, doesn’t miss a single spec. It just communicates a little differently, so much so, you need to stop for a second, to listen.

Your intuition doesn’t give a fuck about how much you earn, how many people love you or what your boyfriends six pack looks like. It cares if you are happy and fulfilled and will always guide you accordingly. Unfortunately, a fuck ton of conditioning has swayed our minds to disregard spiritual fulfillment and authenticity in place for shiny objects and short term gratification. Alas, it creates a life of suffering and ever intensifying dissatisfaction that the consumer market banks on. Our fears and emptiness is bought and sold at our fingers tips 24/7.

Fulfillment blossoms from taking actions on what is authentically meaningful to you.

“The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant.” ~ Einstein

Again, hearing your intuition requires stillness, something that today, many people run, no wait, sprint from.

I hazard a guess that not being able to sit still with yourself is due to the fact you are afraid of what/who you feel you will or won’t find.

We are so fucking afraid to look incase we discover we are not the lie we have been living. The perfect avatar to slip into society as a valued member. Most people walk around feeling like a fraud or a so swayed with narcissism they compensate with overconfidence and believe their own web of self righteous lies.

Both are forms of running. Escaping. Avoiding. So we keep on shovelling salt into the wound of worthlessness by playing the role of our avatar we have developed in order to feel we are valued. Unfortunately this inauthenticity is a shallow and empty road. Potentially full of things, but lacking depth and love. Sucks right. We’ve almost likely been here at some point or another, don’t flip out too much, just start doing something about it now.

Intuition is what can guide you back to a genuine space of unconditional love, presence and certainty from a place deep within you, through, and beyond our noggins. Your fat wallet or G cup might boost your ego enough to have you feel superior and walk through crowds. But the feeling of superiority is a far meeker substitution for courage fuelled through authenticity and it is sure to fade and crumble.

Worthlessness is only an imagined lack of the mind. Intuition is said to be the voice of the soul, and the soul is an essence that is unfu*kwithable.

Have the courage, the discipline and the intelligence to know that sitting still and cultivating this internal GPS is not only going to give you the confidence to be you, it will guide you to a life of more success and fulfillment than your tiny little mind (in comparison) can comprehend.

In this episode I give you two clear action steps (after a little passionate babble) about being able to listen and action your intuition.

Once you finish watching, I want to hear from you. What’s your best tip for listening to your intuition? And have you ever had one of those freaky, ‘I just don’t know how I knew, but I knew’, moments and what was it?
