Jardins D’Écrivains — scented candles

Hi, everyone! How is your mood? Frankly speaking, mine is not so good. Have it ever happened to you that you saw a really cute thing, but something prevented you from buying it and now you can’t help but think about it? That is a reason of my sadness. I have been dreaming about scented candles of Jardins D’Écrivains for three days!! It seems that I am totally in love!
I found them absolutely accidentally last week in Milan during my visit to my best and closest friend. Is it possible to imagine Milan without shopping? Of course, we did some shopping, visited several malls and I saw these amazing scented candles there.
Actually, I’ve heard about such brand as Jardins D’Écrivains many times, but I have never had a chance to see its products. I don’t even know how I managed to miss them. Earlier, I read a series of articles in different magazines which told about Jardins D’Écrivains home fragrances, its unique philosophy and conception. Every fragrance is created in such a way so that it could excite associations with a certain writer. The name of the brand can be translated as ‘’garden of writers’’. From my point of view, it is an extremely original idea. You breathe in a fragrance and immerse in atmosphere in which this or that writer used to live.
It is quite obvious that it took me almost a half of an hour to examine numerous fragrances of this brand, because literature is my passion. There were fragrances dedicated to Guy de Maupassant, George Sand, Leo Tolstoy and many others and all of them were unusual and original. Unfortunately, my friend was tired and she hurried me up, so we left the mall without any purchase. This fact makes me sad. When I came home I didn’t forget about Jardins D’Écrivains, so I made up my mind to find out more about this brand. I was interested in brand’s history, philosophy and conception.

I would like to share several interesting facts with you. The founder of the company is Anais Beguin who loves literature and perfumery immensely. She manages to combine these two passions successfully. It is important for me that Anais puts her heart and soul in her products and selects carefully notes of every fragrance, studying life-stories of writers.
For instance, a fragrance Le jardin de Colette — Saint-Tropez is dedicated to a French novelist — Colette. That is a Mediterranean aroma cocktail made of fig, fir-tree and jasmine fragrances. It is connected with the fact that sunny city St. Tropez occupied a special place in a Colette’s heart. If you have noticed the name of this fragrance as any other name of this brand’s product consists of two parts. The first one stands for a name of a writer, while the second one denotes a certain place which was dear and important for a writer. I think that is very logically and comfy. Every product looks stylishly and elegant, even an emblem of the brand reminds a capital letter of an ancient book. This brand is for real aesthetes who always look for unusual and rare fragrances.
For now an assortment of Jardins D’Écrivains consists of fragrances, bath cosmetics and scented candles. Most of all, I am interested in scented candles. Maybe it is not without a reason that the largest number of masterpieces were written in the candlelight. One way or another, these candles are worth attention. Maybe I should buy one of Jardins D’Écrivains scented candles right now, shouldn’t I? What do you think?
