Wonderful article. I especially appreciated what you said about the trapping people of color writers fall into when they write about their marginalized experience. I think because of the racism people of color face every day, it is hard to separate our racial identity. The same could be said for queer and trans people, and queer and trans people of color (qtpoc). The layers of oppression felt by qtpoc like myself make it hard to not address when writing from my own perspective.
