On June 3rd, 2019, The New York Times reported on the largest measles outbreak in the United States in 25 years. An article in Popular Science explains how pockets of outbreaks were predictable, due to low vaccination rates. The efficacy of debate and education through social media platforms is questionable, but one thing is clear: possessing zero understanding of another’s perspective is not helpful.
