Personally, it was a huge success. There is more than one metric for success — pushing to a purely economic basis (top line revenue) is not always the best filter. How profitable is it? Has it turned into a “write once, sell many” application? What is the lifetime value of a customer? Is the revenue sustainable for X years?
One other thing, it is another example of “SHIP” — every shipping experience will be slightly different, every experience has it’s value beyond $$, and every $$ gained matters.
