Yes it is. It is the single biggest lie we are told. Bigger than almost any of the jokes about the biggest lies (and yes, even that one).
You will never be happy comfortable. You will never achieve anything being comfortable. You will know anything about yourself being comfortable.
Think about that for just one second … our whole lives we are told to do the “comfortable” thing (although not always phrased that way), we are told to go to college, we are told to get a job, we are told to save our money, we are told to get married, we are told to give our children the best, etc & so on.
THAT is comfortable. If we choose that path, guess what, we seek out movies, books, TV shows — we read about people out there doing stuff. They are living on the edge, they are stretching themselves. We live vicariously through them.
How f*cking sad is that. Hell, why did someone come up with the concept of ZipLines? or iFly? We are doers, but we bought into the lie of being comfortable.
