A tiny cardboard box can allow you to learn cool parts of artificial intelligence such as face detection, object recognition, face tracking and so on!

You can experiment with image recognition using neural networks as it is powered by TensorFlow’s machine learning models.

I created a series of videos assembling the AIY Vision Kit, it is a do-it-yourself intelligent camera.

In the official website, they state the time required to build it is 1.5 hours.

01. FOLD THE INTERNAL FRAME

Check the part one here.

02. CONNECT THE BOARDS

In this part of the video we connect the circuits boards, and leave the cardboard parts aside for a moment.

We will use the Raspberry Pi, Vision Bonnet, Standoffs (x2), Short flex cable and Button harness.

03. ADD THE BOARDS TO THE FRAME

Check the part three here.

04. BUILD THE BOX

Check the part four here.

05. BRING IT TOGETHER

Check the part five here.

06. INSTALL THE LED

Check the part six here.

07. INSTALL THE HARDWARE

Check the part seven here.

What will you build? Let me know in the comments down below!

The AIY Vision gives you limitless possibilities by using a piece of software and connecting wires to board.

You’ll need to assemble its components and personalise the experience to get it up and running.

You can learn to use a raspberry pi and AIY programming in Python to expand your applications.
