Why do I need to be a practitioner?
‘Reflective Practitioner’ is an individual who, at consistent intermissions, suspects the work that they have done, the process. They contemplate ways to improve their work. In relation they ‘reflect’ towards the work they have done. (Sharpy.dircon.co.uk, 2016)
Taking in consideration of the process of a thoughtful state, its consequences and suspects whether it has a positive or a negative effect. An individual could judge the assets and weaknesses, even the achievements that have surfaced. Its supports one another with the decisions that have been made, so in return they can be able to improve. If it isn’t possible, you can use your reflection in a way that can aid assistant in your future.
During week 4 lecture we focus on reflection, how it can have never-ending options. As it doesn’t need to have a drive, as it sometimes be seen as a guide that leads to the answer. (ACU, 2016) the 4 key process of reflective thinking should always be remembered such can include;
- Self-awareness; identifying your emotions and reaction to a situation
- Critical analysis; question your reaction and or explore the connection between your views and literature
- Synthesis; integrate this new knowledge into your learning
- Evaluation; discover the importance for you as a professional
