Some of the pages on your website are more important than others. Well, many of you will probably find this to be pretty obvious, but few people really know how to apply this to their websites to improve conversions.

The four most important (and most visited) pages on a website are:

· Start

· We

· Blog

· Contact

Tips for web optimization of each page:

1) Main or home page

Use a phrase that describes your business: It should be in the center of the screen.

Provide flow: Make it obvious what the user is supposed to see and what they are supposed to do next.

2) We

Deliver the most important and relevant information about the business: The user is on your »about us» page for a reason.

Include at least one call to action: Remember, most people aren’t just looking for more information; they are looking for a higher level of commitment.

3) Blog

Organize the information on your blog clearly: Make sure the information satisfies the reasons why users might be on your blog. Most users will want to read the latest articles.

Include links that make it easy for the user to subscribe to the blog, download a free resource, and so on: Even though the user came to get information, you must want them to be engaged and connected.

4) Contact page

Put the information they are looking for above the fold — an email address, phone number, contact form, map, address, and so on. Of these four web pages, the contact page involves the most detailed level of intent on the part of the user.

In conclusion, look at your most visited pages, find out why users are there and what they want.
