My 6 Week Weight Loss Journey Day 01
I started by doing something wrong. At the begining, it felt right but at the day end, I realized it’s wrong. In the very first day of my 6-week weight loss journey, I started with VLCD. VLCD means “very low-calorie diet.
I have done VLCD before and lost significant weight before, but it was some time ago. And I completely ignored the fact that my body needs time to adapt to getting low calories. Starting with VLCD was a bad idea and in the evening I had headache and fatigue, literally, I was shaking. Ultimately ended up eating more foods than expected.
Initially, my thought was “oh let’s limit to 1000 calories per day”. I know, it’s bad for the health but getting significant result during the first week is good for the motivation and keep the things up. Anyway, I ended up having about 1360 Calories on the first day.
My Day 01 Meal Plan
- Cracker — Ate this just after waking up.
- Breakfast — Scrambled eggs (2 eggs)
- 2 Crackers for snack
- A tea (with sugar)
- Lunch — A small amount of rice and some curries
- 2 Crackers for snack
- A tea (with sugar) with a cracker
- Dinner — 200g of cooked rice and some curries with the same amount (I was hungry as hell)
Lesson Learned: Never start a diet plan with VLCD.
