Civic engagement is the cornerstone of any democracy. Through civic participation, individuals help choose elected officials, lobby representatives on important issues, and donate money to causes and organizations. Over the past 25 years, however, civic engagement in the United States has steadily declined.

Latinx/a/o college graduates are one of the best-positioned groups to engage civically. These individuals are part of one of the fastest-growing groups in the country and also have the potential to help foster civic participation in the larger Latino community by encouraging their families, friends, and neighbors to engage civically.

However, little is known about whether Latinx/a/o college graduates are in fact engaging civically. The National Latinx/a/o Alumni Engagement Survey is one of the first attempts to better understand how this community is contributing civically to society.

If you are Latinx/a/o college graduate (with at least a Bachelor’s degree) you can fill out the National Latinx/a/o Alumni Engagement Survey here before August 30th, 2019.
