Fried eggs are yummy! They can be eaten in so many ways: scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs, and did I mention scrambled eggs? Chances are you are one of the people who wonder why their omelette falls apart. I was in your shoes a few months ago, until I discovered an easy way to flip my omelette without ending up with scrambled eggs!
Why Does My Omelette Turn Into Scrambled Eggs ?
There are numerous reasons why this could be happening. For me, it was because I was not patient enough. I have listed steps below to prevent your omelette from breaking into scrambled eggs when you flip it.
Things You’ll Need To Stop Your Omelette From Falling Apart
• Eggs
• Salt (optional)
• Oil (2–4 tsps)
• A bowl
• A spoon
• A nonstick frying pan
• A timer
Steps To Fry Your Omelette Without Ending Up With Scrambled Eggs
1. Break your eggs into a bowl and whisk till the mixture is smooth.
2. Add some salt to the whisked mixture, if you want.
3. Put 2–4 teaspoons of oil on the pan on low heat. It’s important for the oil not to be too much and for the heat to be low.
4. When the oil is sizzling lightly, pour the whisked eggs unto the pan and leave for at least 2 minutes. Unless it’s burning, leave it for longer than 2 minutes. The longer you leave it on the pan, the less likely your omelette is to fall apart when you flip it.
5. Use the spoon to press the omelette firmly on the pan, so all the sides fry together.
6. With the spoon, lightly raise the omelette from one of the edges. If it doesn’t feel “strong” or solid enough to be moved, leave it. When it’s easy to move, and not burning, wait for an additional minute then flip it.
7. Your omelette should have flipped perfectly without falling apart. Repeat steps 5 and 6 to fry the other side.
8. Depending on how crispy you like your omelette, repeat steps 5–6 as many times as you like until you’re satisfied.
That’s it! You have your perfectly fried omelette. You don’t have to eat scrambled eggs, because your omelette keeps falling apart, anymore!
