I recently got a brand spanking new sexy sectional couch from #livingspaces

Or at least I thought I did! This is from their new store in Frisco, TX. And I purchased this couch on Day 4 of the store opening.

$3000 for this baby and it was mine (apparently not).

The couch was a no-call, no-show on the day of the delivery. And no phone calls from the company either.

After all, it’s a furniture store, did I expect any better 💁‍♂️

My goal from this post is to expose these shady practices that furniture stores employ to get our money upfront, without any skin in the game on their end to deliver the goods on time!

Towards the bottom of this post, I also share the email address of some of their C-Suite execs. Feel free to email them with your story and I hope that they make it better for you.

Or you’re better off disputing your CC charge and finding another place to buy your furniture from.

Here is the email I wrote to their C-Suite team

When I heard that there was a living spaces store opening in Dallas I was super excited.

After getting the run around from Ashley Furniture Stores and waiting for 3 months for my couch to arrive, I had enough of their lies and couldn’t wait for the grand opening of your store.

Sure enough, I found a couch that I loved (remember I’ve been living for 3 months without a decent couch).

I immediately placed an order after confirming with your store person that I’ll get it on 9/14/20.

Guess what day today is? And guess what I don’t have in my living room?

Some things you should be aware of……….

1. Your customer service hold times are just atrociously long. Have you ever called your own customer service department? My guess is NOT!

2. I called Saturday to confirm the delivery of my couch and was re-assured that I will be receiving the couch today. LIES! I had to call back again today (another 2-hour wait) just to find out that there was some Quality Assurance issue with my couch and they had to send it back. LIES!

3. How do I know it’s a lie? Because when my wife called back to cancel the couch she was told another story i.e. one of your couch pieces is missing ma’am. If you want to lie to your customers at least plan the lies together so you don’t get caught with your hand in the cookie jar.

4. Since I was promised on Saturday that my couch will be delivered on Monday, I sold the only couch that I had been living with in order to make space for a new one #bigMistake

I was really hoping your store would be different than Ashley.

But you’re all a bunch of lying thieves. First to take your customer’s money, but also first to fail on your delivery times.

Have you recently looked at the comments on your own FB page? People are NOT HAPPY!

Looking down from your high totem C-Suite position, you’d think that you’ll have a pulse on what kinda crap your company is doing.

I’m better off ordering my couch from walmart.com since they always deliver on their promises.

I’ll be sure to write about my experience with your company and your store everywhere I can.

Even if I can save one single person from spending their hard-earned money at your establishment it’ll be well worth my time!
