History Of The Automobile

Can anyone say, “Why we invent something?”

Okay! Let’s make it clear.

Everyday we are facing different kinds problems and we have to fix this problem. In the way of fixing problem, sometimes we have to invent something, it will be some techniques or some materials. For example, Automobile is one of them.

If we look very beginning of the world we don’t have any house, don’t have any clothes and don’t any gender discrimination. That time we have to stay in the forest and collect food from the forest for our livelihood. Every day we tried to improve ourselves and still now we are improving. In the way of improving maybe 1.8 million years before we invented fire. After some years we felt it was so much tough to carry something from one place to another place on our head or our back. From this thinking, we invented “OX Cart”. This invention was one of the best inventions in that time. This was the basic idea of any normal vehicle or automobile vehicle.

Captain Nicholas Cugnot Steam Engine(1769)

In 1769, a Frenchman ‘Captin Nicholas’ developed Steam Engine. This was the first engine in the history of the automobile. For this great invention, Captin Nicholas is considered to be the father of the automobile.

In 1769, the steam engine operated Cugnot’s artillery tractor was first built in France. It had a three-wheeled coach. The speed of this vehicle was 5km per hour with a cruising range of about 13 km.

In 1802, Richard Trevithick built the first practical steam automobile using crankshaft for the first time. Richard Trevithick is from England.

In 1805, Oliver Evan operated his Evan’s Amphibian for the first time in Philadelphia, America. This vehicle was designed with four wheels and body was in the form of a flatboat.

In 1821, the first comfortable steam-powered vehicle built by Julis Griffith. Julis Griffith is from England.

In 1895 and 1902 America built the Stanley Steamer and the white steam car respectively. America got the outstanding success of this two project for their excellent performance. The Stanley steamer is credited with being the first self-propelled vehicle to attain a road speed of 160km/hrs.

From the 17th century to still now we are building many kinds of innovative projects in the automobile sector. In the way of success, we are getting ( Daimler AG {mother company Mercedes-Benz}, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars {mother company BMW}, Honda Motor, Fiat-Chrysler, Ford Motor, Hyundai-Kia, Nissan-Renault Group, Volkswagen Group{mother company Audi }, General Motors, Toyota Motor etc.) these kinds of automobile company. Those make our life so much faster and comfortable.
