TWTW Week 1=september 1–8 ,2018
I was selected as the participant of WIT Learning Program Cohort 1.I never expected it would happen even though I was interested in being part of it.On 5 th of September ,the 22 participants including me received email of the kickstarting of the program and was assigned a quick activity-Introduce Yourself by creating a 2 min video and sharing it with others. The deadline was also fixed. We shared our videos.By this task I learned to create a youtube channel and publish my video. On September 8,each of us were given the task of creating a personal website and to publish the experiences in Medium. So this is my first draft :)
The tasks were interesting this week.Looking forward to experience new learning opportunities in the coming weeks too.

TWTW Week 2=September 9–16,2018
This week started with poster preparation of WIT Cohort 1 and compilation of individual videos on September 9.On 11 September,a gathering called ‘Discover’ was conducted. Each one of us were told to discover three opportunities related to Women in Tech. We were asked to post the link of the opportunity found to our group and later document it to Rethink collect. We were also made to choose opportunities from the list and send mail requests to the program coaches to be mentor. We could select 2 opportunities and 2 coaches. From that 1 opportunity and a coach is selected. The follow up meeting was on September 13.
By this activity we learnt a lot of lessons.
- Time Management
- Team work
- Sharing the opportunity can double it.
- Google is your best friend.
Then we got a surprise! — A beautiful poster prepared by my friends Bhairavi Shah, Elsa Maria,Mridula etc which contained WIT Cohort 1 participant’s photos and names.

They made it using Adobe premier pro and Renderforest. On the follow up meeting on 13th,we started at 7 pm. We took a couple of minutes to mark the attendance. Many of us found coaches and arranged for an online call with them. The last activity of this week was to create a wiki page after the online call with the coach on an opportunity. The deadline was on 16 September.
I was interested in GSOC and I was searching for a coach.I met Miss Paavini Nanda,a GHC ’18 Scholar and GSOC Mentor.I mailed to her on 14 September
I was surprised and filled with joy that she accepted me as a mentee!
On 15 September,me and Bhairavi Shah had a meeting with Miss Paavani Nanda. She shared with us how she started working on Open source , time management tips.It was really inspiring and gave us a small task-Start a contribution to open source.
The opportunities which I have discovered are:-
- Fair and lovely scholarship
2.MOZILLA Internship
This week taught us how to discover opportunities and where to approach for this.

TWTW Week 3=September 17–24,2018
The week 3 started with a feedback call to discuss about the activities done so far.We had our meeting in Zoom.Arya Murali shared the feedback of our format of writing emails and gave some tips on how to improve it.Later we were discussing on an interesting topic-”How does the scholarship winners look like?”
Arya told us let’s name the person “Bubble”.What qualities does bubble have in your idealogy ?We shared our preconceptions and expected qualities about the “Bubble”.Later Arya shared her own experience. She told us that the scholarship winners are normal people like all of us.She also added that the selection criteria for different scholarships will be different.
On the next day we received email containing information about the activities to be done in week 3,themed #build.
The emphasis of this whole week is on building a project of yours and shipping it by end of the week.We have to build a chat bot (Google Assistant) on DialogFlow. The chat bot that gives information about the opportunity you chose — the one you did research on and created a wiki.
I decided to make a chatbot on Mozilla Internship. It was named Miss mozillia.I made it and submitted for production.

The next day I got an email that my bot was not working properly. So I have to make changes in it and resubmit it again. The main speciality of this week was #figure-it-out .You may refer Google or your friends for doubts regarding the bot.
We had to submit bot ,a google site of it and a demo video on how it works. The meeting with Miss Paavini Nanda was rescheduled to September 24 as she was travelling to US.Altogether ,this week was a new experience for me as this was my first project of building a bot.

TWTW Week 4 :Sept 25–30,2018
This week was themed #connect. On Tuesday a meeting was made and Arya Murali told us what we are supposed to do on the week:
- Complete your Linkedin Profile
- Find two people for the interview and contact them either through mail, twitter or other media.
- Submit link to the published Google Assistant.
I did the first two tasks on the start of the week itself. I am waiting for a confirmation mail from both of them.My coach Paavini Nanda would be travelling so our appear call was scheduled to Monday.
Since my bot was submitted for review and is still in progress,I couldn’t share the link of my Google Assistant.
This week was a really busy week for me.But I learnt Time management through this week.

My Google assistant got approved:)
TWTW Week 5:Oct 1–7,2018
This week was themed #apply, which meant to complete all our pending tasks and do an interview with a person of your chosen opportunity.I mailed them and is waiting for the confirmation .
I had my final coach call on Oct 6,2018.It was a nice experience.Couldn’t believe that the program has reached the end.It was a new experience for me.I wish all the Cohort 1 group members would maintain the friendship even after the program ends.
My Final coach call:
