Now this is a valid point. But I am very well versed in The Civil Rights Act of 1964, which is the impetus behind Johnson’s executive order that came to be known as Affirmative Action. And you’re right, it was and still is sloppily implemented, but it was designed to reverse the LEGAL discrimination that Black Americans had been subjected to FOR CENTURIES, prior to 1964…and thus idiotic idea that it had run its course and corrected all that, is just that, pure idiocy.

It never actually did what it intended, and yet trying to turn that back is also futile, primarily because these old systems are breaking down and being replaced by new ones. The new systems are not going to give anyone a preference based on race, but money and the ability to navigate the new virtual systems.
