AMO Labs will join the European market with Plug and Charge solutions in cooperation with electric vehicle charger Gridwiz! The European market is the fastest way to commercialize electric cars and Gridwiz is a leader in the electric car charger market.

The existing electric car charging method was to plug the charger into the car, charge it, authenticate the user and finally make a payment with a membership card. But with Gridwiz’ Plug and Charge you can authenticate, charge and pay as soon as you plug the charging adapter into your car! (Isn’t that easy ^^?)

Since the business agreement concluded in June last year, Gridwiz and AMO have jointly developed a security solution for car charging. Today! We are pleased to announce the successful launch of Gridwiz’ Plug and Charge utilizing AMO Labs’ AutoCrypt solution and the fact that it is about to enter the European market.

Gridwiz as well as AMO are both partners of CharIN, the international association that leads global technology and global standards for electric vehicles worldwide. Teddy Hyunwoong Kim, co-founder of Gridwiz, is currently advising AMO Labs on the collaboration.

We are very much looking forward to the launch of the Plug and Charge onto the European market. A lot of European electric cars will now be able to easily charge their cars with our new joint product. AMO Labs will furthermore work hard to reach the day when the charging fee is paid in AMO Coins!
