Hi everyone!

Today we’d like to share with you a step-by-step guide on how to create an Ethereum wallet. In order to contribute to the sales of AMO Coin, participants must possess wallets that support Ethereum (ETH) transactions.

In this post, we’re showing you how to use MyEtherWallet, a popular open source Ethereum wallet, to generate your own private wallet. It only takes a few simple steps, so keep on reading!

Please note: Do not use your exchange wallet to participate in an ICO! It should be your own, individual wallet!

1. Go to MyEtherWallet’s official website

Access MyEtherWallet using the URL https://www.myetherwallet.com. While you can always look up the address on Google, be careful. You might accidentally end up on a phishing site with a similar URL. Always use a trustworthy computer and browser to access MyEtherWallet over SSL-encrypted connection (https://, not http://).

On your first visit, you will run into the pop-up below. It’s there to remind you that you are ultimately responsible for the safety of your wallet. If you’d like to read further, click the blue button. To close the pop-up, just click on any of the empty space or the x button in the upper right corner.

2. Select your language (optional)

MyEtherWallet is available in a number of languages. If you would like to switch from English to some other language, click on the drop-down menu in the top right corner and choose your desired language. Below is what the site looks like in Korean.

3. Create your password

Enter a password that is at least 9 characters in length. Click on the blue button to create your wallet.

Please make sure not to forget or lose your password, as you will need it to unlock your wallet!

4. Save your Keystore file

In this step, you will create a Keystore file that contains the encrypted version of your private key. This file is essential for accessing your wallet, which means you must not lose it! Make sure to save it on a USB or any other secure location. Once you have downloaded the file, click the red button to move to the next page.

5. Save your private key

Once again, you will need your private key to use your wallet. Save your private key in a secure location that only you can access. Bottom line: keep it safe!

By clicking the blue button, you’ll be able to print out a paper wallet that contains your private key. We also recommend you write down your private key in a notebook or a piece of paper (and at least a couple of times to avoid spelling errors!) and then store it in a secure place.

6. Check your MyEtherWallet address

Finally, it’s time to access confirm your wallet address. Enter your Keystore file and password that you previously created and click “Unlock” to access your wallet. You can also use other methods such as a cold wallet to provide your private key. Here we are using Keystore since it’s one of the most common ways used to access MyEtherWallet.

Congratulations! You’ve now created and accessed your personal MyEtherWallet. Scroll down to find your wallet account address, account balance and more. You can now use this address to send and receive ETH, AMO Coin, and other ERC20 tokens.

Next time, we’ll be coming to you with another step-by-step guide on how to use your wallet. Stay tuned!
