Hi Team Numenta,
Your research seems to provide a novel approach to understanding intelligence. It seems interesting.
I was however curious as to how your framework explains generalisation.
Could you provide an explanation using your theory of the aforementioned example.
Let’s start from scratch we have a newly formed brain and it witnesses a tennis ball. It creates a ’location space' for the tennis ball.
At a later point in time it witnesses a rugby ball. It then creates a 'location space' for the rugby ball.
I was however curious how do we establish the similarity between a tennis ball and a rugby ball.
Do we have three separate location spaces one for ‘ball’ another for ‘tennis bal' and yet another for ‘rugby ball’. An there are complex interaction among location spaces using displacement cells.
I look forward as to how your framework explains the same.
