Life As We Know It

What is “Life”?

What is your life about? What means the most to you? Some would say their job, money, or their relationships. If you could describe your life would it be words of positive or negative thoughts?

Remember hearing, “life is what you make of it”? But what if life isn’t about us and what we want. What if life is about what is intended for us. Well, how would we figure that out? Who makes that call? Who says what is intended for us and how do we figure that out for ourselves?

Why were humans and life in general created? Can you take a moment and think of these questions? What did you come up with?

In this world, as we know it humans are self-seeking. We tend to strive for our own wants and desires. Although this is the case does it mean that is our true purpose? Are we here to admire and idolize ourselves and our pleasures? It seems that leads to self-destruction not true contentment. So what is life about? Think about it.

A job can end at anytime. Money can run out. Relationships are always there. Some may end. Some may change. Relationships are always in existence. Relationships involve more than one individual and it requires a person to think of more than themselves. The contradiction of self want and having a relationship with others is immense. So is it about us as an individual or about our relationships? Or both? A relationship is not only with others but also with ourselves. Life is about relationships. We were created to have a relationship with ourselves, others, and with our Creator.

Now, that we have establish that life is about relationships, it makes sense for our relationships to be first priority in our lives. How is your relationship with yourself? How are your relationships with others? Do you have a relationship with your Creator? If this is what life is about then where do you stand? Enrich your life. Enrich your relationships. Life is about relationships.
