I’ve decided to explore a new way to post my photographs online, partly to share some of the stories behind them (and make up a few too), and partly because I want to reduce my reliance on Facebook, no pun intended. I begin with my recent trip to Darjeeling and Pelling with Sreejith.
The images are going to be scaled down, because that is how Medium works, but they’re all CC-BY-NC-SA, so ask me for high-resolution versions if you’d like them.
I toyed with the idea of hosting this on my blog (too much work to get it to display correctly on all devices), on Flickr (I don’t like the design), on Format (great design, wish it was free, or even better, FOSS), but finally settled on Medium because it’s clean, simple and free. If you know of a good photo-blogging solution that scales images according to bandwidth and device, has good themes or lets you make your own, and is preferably FOSS, do let me know. …
