My very first post.

A revisioning of an episode from the Hindu Mythology.

I will first present a brief summary of the myth and move on to the revisioning.

Krishna, a yet to be incarnation of Lord Maha Vishnu who is celebrated to be the creator of the universe as he has given life from a tiny bit of dust to huge human beings like us (comparatively) decided to let a form of him to be born in this very universe in the form of a child ‘krishna’ whose maternal uncle is starving to kill him even before he was born as he was informed by the gods that the 8th son of his sister Devaki will take his life. In fear Kans – Devaki’s brother, King of Mathura, imprisons Devaki and Vasudev(husband).

Kans continued to kill each son as soon as they cried first out of their mothers womb.

During a Holy night, when Devaki was carrying her 8th son, Lord Maha Vishnu himself appeared in Vasudev’s dream and instructed about how to save Krishna from Kans’s wrath.

As The Lord had already done the needful for Vasudev to escape the prison, Vasudev carried the baby in a basket once it was born and crossed the holy river Yamuna and reached the beautiful city of Gokula, ruled by king Nandh.

Vasudev carefully put Krishna near Yashodha,Queen of Gokula and bhrought her daughter Yoga Maya to Mathura. After learning that the 8th is not a son but a daughter Kans retired from the Idea of Killing after he tried once and was confronted by Kali who was incarnated as Yoga Maya.
