Good, Healthy Reads to Start Your Day

If you don’t follow the tech/programming circles, then there’s small chance that you know who the author of the post below is. Regardless, he’s known as DHH and he’s a very smart guy and you should follow him. In the post below, he gives great advice on how to avoid the common pitfalls of daily working life. Taking his advice will take some of your stress away, guaranteed.

When I first read the title of the post below, I didn’t want to read it regardless of whether it was actually good because I thought the title was deliberately provoking the reader to click through, if only to tell the author that it’s bad advice. I know the purpose of a title is to be interesting and make you click, but I didn’t like this one. So I didn’t click, but then I read a positive comment on it from someone I follow. So, reluctantly, I clicked and read, and it is indeed good, although I still prefer if it had been titled something more accurate, like When to Help People, and When to Pass or something to that effect. Anyway, the author talks about how you shouldn’t waste your time helping those who don’t deserve your effort, and when your good intentions might make things worse.

I hope you enjoy my picks. Feel free to follow if you share my taste in reading. I don’t post often so your feed won’t be bombarded with my posts. Enjoy your day. :)
