This wasn’t about naked photos. It was about abuse of power. Former Rep. Hill violated her oath of office and H.R. 4924 by sleeping with one or more of her staffers. The bill was brought forward by Republicans in 2018 to prohibit sexual relationships between lawmakers and their staffers. The fact that Rep. Hill posed for various explicit photos and videos with her employees is evidence that she believed she was above the law. I do not agree with her constituent’s decision to publish the photos and videos online — instead they should have delivered the evidence of her malfeasance to the House Ethics Committee. The real victims are the staffers — they’ve been harassed by Rep. Hill and evidence of that harassment has been made public.
