Masks

Cast aside the mask of your antipathy,

Walk in love with me,

There is no light without darkness,

The fall into grace is within your grasp,

Reach out to me,

embrace our broken, sea-tossed beings,

Do not wait for the curtain call,

Dance now,

Sing now,

Swim now across, through the waves of this earth,

No time to waste,

Remove the masks that hide your brilliant visage,

Your fire-lit eyes want more,

Crack open your vulnerable heart,

There are precious emeralds there

Waiting to shine,

Reflect the Renaissance of green,

The old shields do not serve you anymore,

Kindness is strength,

The power of enlightenment is inside,

Set it free,

Welcome the treasures of your most intimate self,

Leave the masks to be smelted by Hephaestus,

The shape of you is ready to be born,

Let you be seen by us all,

In all your glory, laughter, tears and fragility,

Empower yourself in your naked bones,

This is your time to shine.
