Even as a child I was comfortable with solitude, preferred it in fact. I always figured it’s because I’m an introvert.

After my divorce, which followed a 20+ year marriage, I’ve rediscovered solitude; and although I sometimes miss having another human in the house (there’s always a dog), it now feels like liberation. In a lot of ways it’s a more difficult life. But it’s a good life and I like it.

I use the internet to connect with friends and family, with a little social media thrown in. It creates a nice feeling of balance.
