I see that you are a transracial adoptee. This means that you were probably raised by white parents. This also means that you likely don’t know much about Asian/Korean culture or language. I have spent my life (30 years) in an Asian family, and have encountered a lot of anti-white and anti-black and EVEN anti- “any other ethnic Asian group that isn’t ours” rhetoric for many years.
Here are a few examples: 1-Asian people talking about “hei ren” and “heu gin” and the dirt that is said in the native language. 2-Asian businessmen who prefer to hire Spanish illegals instead of “hei ren” or “heu gin.” 3-Asian people dissing white people and saying how superior their culture is when compared to white America. 4-Asians believing they are racially superior. The compliment I get is “You are almost as good as a Chinese person.” The word for China (zhong guo) literally means the central country. The pride is fierce. 4-Asian people dissing other groups of Asians for example Hong Kong, or people who are not Han majority, or people from Vietnam, and all that. This, of course, is not everyone. But I have heard enough of it to understand that derogatory, supremacist, and racist language and thought is much more accepted in the Asian cultures than it is in the US.
I am going to go out on a limb here and suggest that the best way to change is to look within your own soul. Are you a person who hates others? Are you a person who feels self-righteous? Are you a person who judges others based on their skin? Are you a racist person who believes the myth that all white people are privileged? Are you a racist person who believes that all non-whites should unite against white people? Are you someone who feels that you are better than (or morally superior to) other people for any reason? If so, the way to change the world is to change yourself.
Don’t get me wrong! There are plenty of white people who are morally bankrupt racists. However, they are a tiny minority compared to the overall population. After all, white people in the US are the ones who gave up their hold on power to allow waves of diverse immigrants. That certainly has not happened in any Asian country. I mean, where are all the whites, blacks, Muslims, Hindus, and Jews singing kumbaya in South Korea, China, and Japan? I am not holding my breath. How does China treat ethnic minorities? (hint: you will not see non-Han people in positions of wealth or power).
I wonder — did you “unfriend” all of your Muslim friends who don’t condemn jihad after every terror attack? Or would that be Islamophobic and racist? No, I suspect you know that your friends are not terrorists, and you would not insult them in that hateful way. So I ask you to look within yourself to stop promoting racism, division, and hatred.
