Gain Control of Your Life and Click Unsubscribe
We are living in an information overload society. If it isn’t serving your goals, click unsubscribe. It’s that simple. Change your notifications on Facebook so you’re not alerted every time someone posts in a group that isn’t advancing your goals. Prefacing my point is the assumption that you have goals — and you must have them.
Do you understand how Pinterest is serving your business or entrepreneurial goals? Depending on your business, it might not be. But that might be the kind of account you like to keep open in case things change, or just for periodic fun.
You should have a sharp focus on where you are going and cut out the noise that doesn’t push you forward in your goals. Do take the courses that will advance you. Many people are making money selling selling right now. Much of this information is already free on the internet.
You need to ask yourself — am I wasting time by taking a Facebook quiz on what is my elf name? I can’t be wasting my time if I don’t have goals to begin with. But when you have razor sharp goals, it will become clear to you how to clear away the noise and what noise to clear away. If that article, book, magazine, website etc is not pushing you toward your greatest and most powerful self then you need to re-evaluate or to use a popular word this election season, you need to “pivot”.
Time is a fascinating resource, in part because it is the one asset that you cannot get back. Therefore, don’t waste it. But do look in your heart, don’t spend time on something that you think should be a priority but in fact is not. So go ahead, take control of your life and click unsubscribe!
