Dag 10

It’s weird when things in life tie together. This isn’t that weird but yesterday I was talking to Sara about Lilys and then today I saw one when Lisa and I went for a walk in the park after class. Studying abroad is a walk in the park. We went inside of a gigantic green house filled with palm trees. It was so humid inside that my hair started to get curlier. After the green house we continued walking around random places until it was 4. At 4 DIS had a “free sale”. Items that past students left are given away to current DIS students. (side note, the Danes call DIS students Deese students). Lisa and I were convinced that we were walking to the “free sale”, but then we ran into my friend Jackie who was walking in the opposite direction. She asked where we were going and we told her and then she turned us around and brought us in the right direction. Funny when things tie together. I saw a lot of really aggressive Lord of the Flies behavior at the “free sale”. There were about 50 students in a crowded basement type room, all looking for some cool swag. My friend Jackie found a blue pen, which apparently you can’t buy in Copenhagen and I found a shirt that has both stripes and solids on it. We then walked back to the train station and went home. I went for a bike ride on a really nice path that goes by some fields and trees. I’m really happy that I can be in a rural place after leaving from school. The city is fine during the day but I like to get out. Classes were good today. I’m realizing that my new schedule has me finishing class at 2:35 on Monday and Thursday and 11:25 on Tuesday and Fridays. Hopefully I can explore a little extra in and around the city because of that. Tomorrow Serena and I are making dinner for Lise and Jesper. The bar is very high because Lise is an outstanding cook. She says she will eat anything but we hope to make her proud. Please let me know if you have any excellent recipes. The recipes can’t just be good, they must be excellent.
