Dag 4

Currently having a sleepover with my pal Brit. Today I spent the morning doing an orientation scavenger hunt with other people in my homestay area. It was great to get to hear about some of the history of Copenhagen and have some of the architecture explained. I also picked up my books today. I am taking a course called Nordic Mythology so I got a pile of books that I am excited to read.
The real excitement began when I found my friend Brit after the book pick up. Brit and I took an hour train ride to a U12 soccer practice. The reason why we did this is that my homestay mom, Lise, invited me to meet a member of the Danish national team. She said that her sister would meet us at the train station and then bring us to meet the Danish soccer player. Brit and I didn’t realize that we should have brought soccer clothes though, or that we were going to a soccer practice, so we were kind of awkwardly playing without shoes. We also took a stroll around a nearby park by the water. Then we had dinner at Brigette’s (Lise’s sister’s house). It was really strange and fun. Now we are having a sleepover. Good to catch up with Brit.
