Amy Potter was born in 1955 and raised in Portsmouth, Ohio. She spent many years living and working in Lexington, Kentucky, and Fort Myers, Florida. She returned to her hometown area and received Christ as her Savior in 1995 at the age of 40.

Amy married Woody Potter in 1996. They live on wooded acreage in Northern Kentucky, outside of South Shore.

She likes writing short tales, historical romances, and true-life stories. She also writes special instrumental and vocalist arrangements of public-domain hymns. She is a composer and enjoys writing “happy” gospel songs.

Amy is a pianist at her church. She prepares piano instrumentals for offertories, preludes, postludes, and communion. She played the piano at Calvary Baptist Church in Portsmouth, Ohio, for eight years. During the Christian Home Crusades in 2010, 2012, and 2014, she accompanied the choir at the Vern Riffe Center in Portsmouth. She has sung in church choirs and as a soloist and in duets and trios.

She is a Christian, wife, writer, secretary, bookkeeper, pianist, arranger, composer, and Medical Lab Technician. She loves to write short stories and articles for Medium. She encourages feedback.
