Hillary never had a chance to not play by the rules of “the establishment”. Bernie Sanders was able to rock the boat and deviate from the establishment BECAUSE he is a man. I don’t love everything Hillary has done to get where she is, BUT she was never going to be elected on potential (like so many male counterparts), so she has more baggage because she had to do so much more to prove she is capable of the job. I have a 4 year old daughter who will not understand politics or nuance for a very long time. She WILL understand that Hillary Clinton is a woman and might be president. For that I am grateful and might possibly have something in my eye.
