It probably did help with productivity but improving self-confidence was my main objective. Frequently thinking “why aren’t I as popular/attractive/funny” wasn’t a particularly healthy mindset in retrospect.
For those reading it’s certainly worth a go giving facebook/instagram a break for a while and see if that has a positive effect on your life. I recommend giving it a month. Don’t think it will be easy though as the tech giants will fight tooth and nail to for your attention because of the $$ you are worth to them.
