The Need

At Enactus, we focus on improving the lives of others. We are an idea, a team, a family. We are a group of individuals, innovators, and world changers, that work together selflessly to create sustainable change in the world.

Look around you. The world is full of problems, both large and small, that just aren’t being addressed. The world is full of people who need your help.

Enactus changes the world by giving people the help they need, but that’s not what Enactus does. Enactus is a journey; a journey that takes individuals and equips them with the skills that they need to believe in themselves, and to create change, and I’m honoured to have been a part of this journey.

Over the course of the past 2 years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with a group of the most talented and inspiring people I’ve ever come across, and it saddens me to know that my time with them is coming to an end.

With my Enactus family, I’ve worked on projects that work to revive the spark of confidence in survivors of domestic abuse, provide young people with the skills that they need to find employment, and delivered training to 25 businesses in Loughborough.

I’ve given presentations, travelled to new places, and most importantly, I’ve made friends. I’ve learnt to see problems in the world as opportunities for growth and prosperity.
I’ve learnt that a single person can make a difference.

Within each individual lies the capacity to inspire, to create, to lead.

Enactus has brought me confidence, humility, excitement, and changed the lens through which I look at the world. I’ve already begun the application to become an Enactus UK Alumni, and am looking forward to the opportunity to go back to mentor and guide the students that are impacting the lives of so many.

This chapter of my story is ending, and I can’t wait for the next to start.
